About the course

Everything in digital dentistry today begins with the intraoral scan. Intraoral scanning allows the clinician to take predictable preoperative and interim records, streamline data management and reduce chair time. It also improves patient experience and helps reduce the costs of materials that were required in an analog workflow. There are many scanners out there in the market today but choosing the right scanner for your dental practice is every practitioner’s dilemma. With the advanced intraoral scanners and technology available today, it is possible for every practitioner to successfully incorporate intraoral scanning at least in crown and bridge workflows and implants. Advanced applications include full mouth rehabilitation, fully edentulous applications and fixed full arch implant rehabilitation. This course will focus on understanding intraoral scanning technology and techniques that will help the clinician take that first step towards embarking on a digital workflow. It will also teach basic digital design for multiple applications including crown and bridge, basic surgical guides, models, nightguards/splints and impression trays.
